Dropshipping – 2 Points to Keep in Mind

The truth is that in this day and age with the global economy gone to the dogs, dropshipping is a viable business model if you know how to start without any money.  Because let’s face it, not many of us have money to start up and trying to convince the financial establishments to back us is a tough ask.   That’s why the dropshipping business model is the right way forward.

The first thing to understand is that having no money means you have to be wise and you have to limit any financial risk.  In other words don’t put yourself in a situation where you could get stung for money you don’t have if something goes wrong.  Don’t borrow money from family or friends or get a high interest loan to start up with, instead get wise.

Dropshipping, when you find the right supplier, is your ticket to the business you’re looking to start.  Now of course the devil is in finding the right supplier.  Salehoo has some terrific dropshippers that will allow you to buy in the quantities that you’re able to afford.  In fact you can buy in singular units if you prefer and only when you’ve actually sold the item – which is the true essence of dropshipping.

But just how do you grow a business using the dropship business model?  Well it begins with quality and quality on two levels: customer service and product quality.  If you don’t have these two elements in your fledgling business, then you won’t get repeat customers and you won’t get the all important growth in your business.

Dropshipping Customer Service

So finding yourself a dropshipper that will deliver to your customer when they say they will is a vital key.  If you tell your customer their item will be with them no later than 5 days then it darn well better be there in 5 days or less, because if it isn’t you run the likely risk of annoying your customer and that’s no way to build trust in your business.

Dropshipping Quality

Quality is the other point on which you need to focus when it comes to pleasing your customer.  If what you’re offering isn’t fit for purpose then your customer will bad mouth your business to all they know and maybe to a few corners of the internet.  So quality is important.  Find yourself a supplier who supplies first class products and your customer will come back to you and instead of bad mouthing you, they’ll be recommending you to all that they know.

Now you’re wondering why I didn’t put price in there.  Well price is important and it’s important you’re competitive, but good business men know that if they provide first rate customer service and they provide a quality product, then the customer will accept the price and pay for it.
