Sourcing Wholesale The Right Way v The Wrong Way

It’s very easy to start off in the business thinking that if you just give it enough time, you’ll find what you’re looking for on your own and you’ll find it in a plentiful amount at the right price!  It’s very easy to think that and for some things do work out that way, but if you’re looking to source wholesale stock to kick start your business, then chances are you’re going to fall into the category of those who spin their wheels, lose some cash and end up right back where they started.

Truth is that sourcing wholesale is not easy!  And depending what you’re trying to source, it can be down right impossible to find what you’r looking for.

For instance, genuine high end wholesale designer clothing I would go as far as saying this is like finding the golden calf!  Many will tell you they have it, but only a fraction, if that, will be telling you the truth.  Design houses do not dispose of their surplus, last season stock by simply letting them flood out onto the market.  These surplus designer stock go through rigorously controlled official channels and if you’re not tapped into these channels, you have no chance of knowing where and when they’re being sold.

This is the exact reason that so many people get pulled into an illegal and dangerous world of counterfeit items.  And when I say counterfeit, don’t for one second think I mean only clothing.  I mean famous electronic gadgets, cell phones, cosmetics, prescription medication, food and toys.  If you can think of it, the counterfeits and conmen can copy it and convince the unsuspecting that it’s the real deal.

Now if you fall into the hands of one of these conmen and actually buy from them you are leaving yourself open to prosecution which could result in a criminal record, jail time and or a large fine or if someone is injured or worse…

If you’re serious about setting up in business, whether through a bricks and mortar store, a website or selling through eBay, you must start out by treating what you’re doing as a ‘real business!’

That means you need start up or seed money to start your business the right way.  After all a business requires money to run it since it will incur expenses.  One of your first expenses should be to find the right wholesale source.  And that’s where a site like Salehoo should factor into your plans.

Using a reputable and reliable site like Salehoo will spare you the real and dangerous chance of landing in big trouble because you clicked on the wrong site and believed what some conman told he had.

Start out right and you will find that your business will flourish.  Start out wrong and who knows where you’ll end up!
